Welcome to Villa Asimi in Skiathos, one of the Sporades islands in Greece. The Villa, my most recent project was built in the seventies and in need of some love and a few modern upgrades to be able to show it's true beauty again.
Starting point
When we started on the Villa it was desperately in need of some love and attention. Lots of lists needed to be made, sleeves rolled up and plans put in place to start the project.
First impressions
The entrance is looking alot more welcoming. It was important to us to preserve the look and feel of the original building incorporating traditional Greek details such as the colour for the windows & shutters.
Original kitchen
The original wooden handmade kitchen was now very tired looking and very much in need of a complete overhaul. The oven and appliances all needed replacing and a new floor installing.
A bright, clean result
The kitchen has had a clean, modern upgrade with bespoke petrol blue cupboards, contrasting brass handles, a textured Corian white worktop all now giving a much fresher contemporary feel.
Original living area
The lounge and living area was only really in need of a cosmetic upgrade once the electrics had been checked and the windows and doors replaced.
Settling in
We kept the original stone floor created with original slate from Skopelos and furnished the area with pieces from the UK, Athens and locally in Skiathos.
Going for Gold
The original Guest Bathroom was in major need of a makeover not to mention installing a window would be a good idea!
