Another renovation project in Skiathos town completed. This small very traditional house was tucked away down a small lane and was a real hidden gem.

It was important to me to restore all of the traditional elements possible and convert this old stone building back to its original beauty. We had to strip away all of the exterior cladding which had been attached to cover the original outside staircase and replaced all of the wooden balustrades with metal railings for a much safer solution as well as not obscuring the overall look of the house.

Small changes made such a big impact. Restoring and repainting the original wooden windows, shutters and doors immediately freshened and lightened up the property. A stone built outside tap feature was giving a new clean look just by being retiled, painted and given a new feature brass tap.

The original stone courtyard just needed a good clean and a repaint of the tiles, some cushions added and some vintage garden furniture for an update.

A full renovation was completed inside. More images to come...
